Information we collect
- Analytics data. If analytics are enabled, we use Google Analytics to understand which guides readers use, in aggregate: pages visited, approximate region, device type, and referral source. This data is not used to identify you personally.
- Emails you send us. If you contact us, we keep your message and address to reply and to improve our guides.
- Newsletter sign-ups. If you subscribe, we store your email address to send the newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time from any issue.
- Technical cookies and local storage. See the Cookie Notice for details. We use them for site preferences (such as your cookie choice) and aggregate analytics — not for advertising profiles of our own.
What we don't do
- We don't sell personal information.
- We don't operate user accounts on this site, so we never hold passwords or payment details. Purchases happen on retailers' own sites, under their privacy policies.
- Affiliate links contain a tracking identifier that tells the retailer which site referred you. It does not give us your name or what else you bought.
Third parties
Retailers and affiliate networks we link to set their own cookies when you visit their sites. Their handling of your data is governed by their policies, not ours.
Your choices
You can block cookies in your browser, use analytics opt-outs, and email [email protected] to ask what correspondence we hold from you or to have it deleted.
